new sheets of 16 - 18 gauge mild steel. the work may look recycled, but its distressed by design.
Can I hang work outside?
my pieces are meant to be hung indoors or under a covered porch, they can be placed outside where they will age and patina if left unprotected but they can be clear coated periodically to extend the life of the original surface.
What are the pieces sealed with?
all pieces are sealed with a clear coat spray and then waxed.
Do you use chemicals to rust your work?
I don't use chemicals or rust colored paint. I instead let the patina be born only using water, air and sun.
